Hitting a wall here. I recently did the tsx swap retrofit on my 07 lx. Initially I was using a cheap amazon ballast/ignitor without harness until driving in the snow I started having issues with the passenger and less so driver headlight not turning on and then the passenger bulb blew.
At this point I decided to go the morimoto route and get 35w ballasts (eBay used), ignitors (eBay used), harness (eBay new), and bulbs (retrofit source new). After installing this I can't get either side to work consistently. The driver side works more often than the passenger. I've tried swapping components side to side with every possible iteration but still can't get either side to work consistently. I did notice when switching the bulb and bulb holder side to side the passenger side seemed to work more consistently bit still not all the time. Only on two instances have both lights came on together. Once when jumping the car and once when manually unplugging and plugging in the connector on the harness that attaches to the oem connector did both lights come on together.
I've also tried hooking up the ballast directly to the oem wires and that did not work on either side. I've tried attaching the harness at a different spot on the battery which did not change things.
At this point I'm thinking I need a high quality harness mentioned in other threads made by a supporting vendor bit really having a hard time forking over 95$ for the harness when I'm not sure this will solve my problems.
Any thoughts/wisdom?
