Was that you?

You came and went so fast I thot you were the other store's new delivery driver....

Lawrence did a great job of piloting the JK through it all w/o any issues. He proved that a good working suspension coupled with a decent set of 33" M/T tires, a lightweight rig like a Jeep is very trail worthy.

These guys don't want to hear about the jeep. Besides, it was you, Graham, Rory and Evan spotting me that got the jeep through. I did notice that I wasn't scraping the bottom as much as you guys though.;)

It is a fun trail though. It will definitely flex your suspension. If your as daring as Rory and Graham, it will give you need for a snorkel:hmm:

The 80 actually has a pretty good indicator for peak mpg. I had one with a 2.5" heavy, 33" ZMTR's, and stock gears (armored all around as well). I was able to squeeze out 15 mpg at an average of 75 mph on some two way runs. As you're driving down the highway, watch the tach. If, when you hit the throttle a little more, it jumps up a couple hundred rpm, you've lost the edge - that's the indicator. You have to keep your foot in it a little going downhill to get the momentum to make the next hill...

I think the minimum with the torque converter locked up was 13.7, but I don't actually recall. Rory has a Scangauge, maybe he can say what that minimum is. When it jumps that couple hundred rpm the mpg drops to about 11.5 as I recall - before it downshifts...

A minor correction applied..........
