Suddenly, access is barred to Tonto swimming holes

We keep loosing more and more public lands through back handed deals I have been to the swimming holes and can say this is a loss for sure. The road in was nice and scenic and the holes were for the most part filled with crystal clear water.

That's a crock of crap shady back door deal If I ever saw one. A developer gets private access to all that lies, puts outright lies on the signs and cuts everyone off for less than 150k.

Sounds like time for a Road Trip!! Seriously, if more of us volunteer to help FS, then maybe we can get into their head a little better to find out what is really going on. Sounds to me like the biggest part of the Dirty Deed was done at the Interior Dept. John

I've been to that area and if I were the farmer I'd have closed the area years ago. This is a private individual closing off his private property to access. I get that some may say the owner purchased it later when he realized that he built a structure on federal land...but the place was homesteaded a 100 yrs ago...In addition the road only goes to the farm.

It used to be a nice place but the more people who find out about it more it gets trashed. It was bad the last time I was there...trash everywhere (some had mullets). I think you could still get there by parking in a different location and hiking in. There's a great waterfall up the river.
