Is there any chance that a few guys would be willing to help me get this little bearing race out of my transfer case?

It is part #37 in the FSM diagram of the TCase. The bearing shredded, but the race is still firmly entrenched in there. I've tried prying it out with a hammer and a screw driver...but I don't like hammering on the tcase because I don't want to break anything inside there. I'll try to post the picure.

I don't have a welder...and it may be that is the only way to get this thing to let go.

Try a carraige bolt clamped in a vice grip. If you can get the head of the bolt in the race lip and use a prybar to pry against the vicegrip jaws, it should grip. Think of my slide hammer lip end that I used.

Dan, thanks for the idea. Yep, your silver slapper lip looked just like a carriage bolt top.

I'll give that a shot.

That almost worked. The carriage bolt just wouldn't hold on to the lip when I forced the pry bar. I guess the lip just isn't deep enough...and the darned thing is really fused in there. I have no idea how long that little bearing was shredded...so, it may have run without a bearing for quite some time...which probably will make it harder to remove.

Should I just get my dremel out and start cutting?

See if you can't bend the edge of the carraige bolt at a steeper angle to grab the lip first. One way if you have a vise is to clamp the head and use a pipe to bend the shank. Or maybe you could try bending just head... Or file down the edge for a sharper grip.

Yes, on the dremel, but be werrrry, werrrry careful. You don't want to cut the output shaft. I was just telling John that I keep a collection of used fiberglass wheels for just this purpose, and he saves cutoff wheels too. Good luck.

Thanks Dan. I'll try to be vewwwwy caweful. I have a couple of ground-down cutoff wheels that I can use.
