Last fall’s gathering of rare/obscure/imported diesel vehicles, TDI swaps, and interesting factory diesels was so much fun that we’re doing it again this fall. For the second annual iteration, this year we even have a name for the gathering:
Montana
Oddball
Diesels
MOD Meet it is.
This year’s meet will take place on October 11th at the parking area on the northwest corner of the State Capitol grounds in Helena, MT.
We’ll gather at around 10am for a few hours to hang out, show our cars and projects, trade parts, or whatever folks feel like. Then sometime in the early afternoon we will take off on a group drive somewhere to enjoy some scenic views and fall foliage — probably involving a few dirt or gravel roads, but nothing as intense as last year when snatch straps were deployed a few times. The intent will be to do a cruise suitable for any vehicle.
All are welcome for either phase of the day or both, and we will aim to be wrapped up by late afternoon or early evening so that folks who wish to make it home from a few hours away can do so.
