Wow great... I've been using your truck as a guide for my modifcations, though I have not done the exactly the same mods, its good to read about your experiences and see your pics.

Now that you have explicitly catagorized your mod pics... its even better... Thanks

Nice write-up, John!! My LX is getting there.

So you are not going to do that solid axle swap anymore?

When somebody is willing to do the SAS for free/promotion I will buy another 100 to supply for the project. :)

Good resource John, thanks for buiilding it. (Site and Truck that is :flipoff2: )

Yes, nice write up and pics! The only thing I saw missing was the ARB Sahara bumper install pics/write up. Is that coming?

Nope. Done by OffRoad Unlimited. I didn't even get my instructions back. They did a nice job but I was a rookie then.

Nice, as was mentioned at least once before: "Thanks for taking the time. I'm sure many people will find it very useful."

Redunant thanks John from everyone else here in the 100 camp...but THANKS just the same. Unless someone has created the pictorial and explanation, as you have done here, they don't realize how much extra time it takes beyond doing all the mods to journalize the process! Kudos!

The front 100 travel is indeed the final solution to making the 100 more secure off-road. You think someone would make a kit containing upper/lower A-arms, diff drop kit to match, coil spring conversion....for less than $8K!

Dan

John, I was wondering if you recall what size angle iron you used to beef up your rear control rods. I bet that really increased the strength of the bars! I plan on doing your bracket + arm protection method this weekend on mine.

Hmmm, not sure. I didn't buy it. Plus, the 80 took a larger size than the 100 because the 93/94 have larger arms. I want to say the 100 used 1" and the 80 used 1.5".

Yes, it helps alot and I have not bent an arm since. We tacked the angle iron on down the sides. The less welding the better for strength.

Thanks John, I will probably pick up both sizes ( it never hurts to have a variety anyways !).

I want to add to the MANY thanks for you taking the time to post all of those great tutorials (and being the official 100 Guinea Pig ) !!!

Great! The stuff is cheap and it beats spending megabucks on heavier arms. Thank you!

Hey, John. When did you implement the diff drop? I took a look at my JDM Hyper-Rev LC I book (printed in 1999) and they list a diff drop kit (replacement crossmember+spacers/hardware) for 2-3" lifts for the 100, so we know diff drop kits were commercially available back to at least 1999. :)

Nobody here knew anything about that. That's why Doron designed it, implimented it, I doubled his design, and it proved all good and strong. I still have Doron's drafting of the project. The guy's a genious! :D If he'd a known he'd not a wasted his time.
