Cross posted from the clubhouse as I'm not getting much response. Suggestions are appreciated.

"Hi folks,

My wife and I will be driving from Atlanta to Moab the 3rd week of May in our 100 series. Can anyone recommend scenic drives in and around Moab? I don't plan on doing any wheeling that would require a winch, or otherwise leave us with a problem driving back home. Any other recommendations on things you locals know of that tourists might otherwise overlook (restaurants, etc...) would be helpful too.

Thanks in advance!"

Mineral Point is pretty nice....and its basically just a very smooth dirt road.

Dont do Kane Creek.

Thats all i got.

Try the White Rim. Might be a bit challenging, but doable. Plan to take the day. It's about 100 miles all the way around and starts near the visitor center at Canyonlands NP. If you are worried about it being too difficult, there is a Youtube video of a guy doing it in a rear-wheel drive passenger van.

Other easy options near Moab: Onion Creed, Fisher Towers, Geyser Pass, Gemini Bridges, Long Canyon, or Beef Basin. Slightly more difficult: La Sal Pass, Colorado River Overlook or Tower Arch.

Currently in Moab. I highly recommend going to Needles area after you see the islands in sky portion. Take Shafer trail to musselmans arch then cruise out potash road back towards Moab. There are some nice petroglyphs on way back to Moab. Even though we have 33 inch tires I could easily have done it with previous stock tires. White rim very cool but doubt you will find any camping along route, I will be on it again Mtn biking it on 17th-19th of May and it would be LONG trip without camping!

Consider Salt creek road to peek a boo area in the needles. Although little sandy and smal amt of water we had zero issues getting there yesterday. We visited the tower ruins and Paul Bunyons (sp) potty with around 4.5 mile round trip hike and only saw 2 other people.

PM me and I can definitely share some more areas that we found were enjoyable to the family. We're packing up tomorrow morning and should be home tomorrow afternoon when I can send more info!

I've run Chicken Corners with my mostly stock truck. It was very easy and very scenic. And you leave and return pretty much in town.

What's the deal with Kane Creek? I ran it in a stock rental jeep that was open/open a few years back. Sounds like it's gotten a little tougher since I last ran it.

As for trails, pick up a copy of the Charles A. Wells, 2008 edition. ( It's the spiral bound version of the book and I think that is the latest one produced.)

Well worth the $25 or so bucks when it comes to finding the start of the trails and pointing out areas of interest along the way.

The book "only" has 55 trails to choose from and you should be able to do any of the moderate or easy trails if you've removed your running boards.

White Rim is a long one day trip. Doable and a great way to punish the family for 105 miles. Just remember that most trails that are on National Park land do not allow pets in the vehicle.

Zaks pizza downtown is great choice for food.

If you are looking for scenery and no wheeling, you can't go wrong with Arches National Park. Highly recommend the Delicate Arch hike within the park. That is a must do for anyone that visits Moab. Another very scenic hike is the Arches Loop hike at the very end of the park. You can spend most of the day there if you check out everything.

Gimini Bridges is an easy dirt/rock road your 100 can handle is complete stock form.

You will love the area...been there about 25 times in the past 15 years.
