Well, the gold 80 is Darryl's. The red rig and trailer belongs to Roger Theurer.

Some of the CLC crew might be interested in this trip. I know when we went to Moab back in 2011 Clutchee and I spilt the Diesel (Dodge dually and 36' goosneck with 2 40's) and my share was $600. We made it to Amarillo on the first day (11 hours) and did 10 hours the next day. We stayed at KOA in the cabins. Not bad for a place to lay your head. There are camping spots right across from the cabins and a shower house that was fine for what we needed. I think I spent a total of $1200 at the most for the whole trip. Of course we wheeled 6 days.

Plan on some sort of Air source. Either a Co2 tank or compressor to air tires up once you get off the trail. You have to do some driving to get to some of the trails. I would air down to 12 psi and back up to 25 psi for the drive back to camp. One full 10lb Co2 tank did what I needed for those days.

We also had Woody and Nolen Grogan with us and they knew Moab like the back of their hands which helped alot! We planned our days out at dinner the night before and had a set plan that we stuck to. If you want to see a lot of this place you need to do this and wheel agressively to make good time.

Damn, I'm getting fired up just thinking about it! Ha!

Been putting $50 aside off every pay check since this thread stared to have some cash for this trip, even if it means eating bologna sandwiches all work week it will be worth it next year in April :)

That's what I'm talkin bout! And, that's a great idea!

BTW, are we set on the date? Is everybody good with April 18-25?

Haven't talked about it lately. We're still going though, if that's what you're asking. You thinking about making the trip?

Might be able to have a real lunch with the lower fuel prices, these days. Should make a big difference.

Yeah prices are looking good on the fuel.

Tony, what are your thoughts on making this trip?? I hope you can make it work!

I still plan on making it. So far the work calendar looks clear.
