What should someone expect to pay for a used Miller 300 series multi-process machine? It does stick, MIG, TIG, and is also a plasma cutter. That's all I know about it right now.

My uncle passed away recently. He was a master welder. I'm trying to get an idea for the estate.

For the right price, I may get a hold of it.

I would check some of the used equipment retailers sites, or ebay.

Recently got a "like new" XMT 304 CC multi process (stick, tig) for $1500. List is $3500.

Are you talking about an XMT300? I'm not aware of machine that can also plasma cut.

XMT300 were the result of Miller buying out Powcon and was their first attempt at using inverter technology. These typically sell for less than $1000.

I was told by a Miller repair shop to avoid it and get an XMT 304 or 350 CC/CV.

I haven't seen it. My sister told me about it. Her husband has his own auto restoration shop in McPherson, Ks, so I hope he knows what he's talking about.

They told me what I posted. She said she'd send me a picture when she gets to it. By 300 series, I only assumed they meant 300/304/350 etc. I have no experience with Miller or those units. I'll find out.
