Anyone think of changing their CDN M101 or 416 to torsion half axles? wondering what pros and cons are? Southwest trailers has ones that will still accept the 10" hub drums so I can keep brakes for RTT and is rated at 3500lbs as well. was thinking it would be lighter than the leafs but dont know how it will ride for they said it has about 4" of travel? any ideas?????

i wouldn't do this roberto, torsion axle do not have alot of travel and it work great with heavy loads. And one of the main reason it exist is to lower the trailer frame closer to the ground, something you do not want on a offroad trailer.

4" of travel but you will need serious weight!

your on it Eric, I was just looking at pics of my trailer and noticed that the torsion axle would make it very low to the ground, good call, thanks!
