As of today I'm an old fxxxer like you guys. :flipoff2:

...so what color Harley should I get? Keep in mind I will have to match it to the Corvette convertible automatic I feel like I need now, and then I will have to buy Tommy Bahama shirts that match both of them to tie it all together.

Maybe a muscle car too....something that says, "I have no imagination, I just purchased the "like me!!" package." Camaro? Mustang? Corvette? Chevelle?....

Suggestions?

You can't wear the Harley costume when you drive your corvette.

That would look silly.

We had a custodian that built a custom trailer to tow his matching Harley behind his C-4 corvette.

It was so wrong on so many levels that it made my head hurt.

Worse was the number of people that thought it was the coolest thing ever. made me want to turn in my human race citizenship card and go live in a cave someplace.

Dear John,

First, Happy Birthday mutha ***r!!!

Second, you may not feel it in some ways but you are still a kid, but thats not a bad thing. Since I'm 51 midlife aint happening till 52. Then that is open for re-quotes every year.

Third, you are definately wisher than 99% of 30 yr olds. Dont let it go to your ginger head. Your take, your view, your opinion is spot on 99% of the time. Of course that has to be compared to something and that something is my opinion.....of course.
I have called you "The Wise One" before which is not usually appropriate for a 30 yr old, but I'm giving it to you any way.

Fourth, what is scary is what are you going to be like when you are 50? You will be pleasantly surprised by how your attitude is molded slowly over the next 20 yrs, especially if you have kids, then watch out.......enjoy the ride. The reason that is "scary" is that your attitude now is that of many of my friends who are my age. In other words, you are ahead of the curve. Hopefully you won't be thrown into Grumpy Old Man statis prematurely.

A couple nights a week I usually tip a JD and something, tonight I might have to dig in the back of the bar for a Captain.........and solute.

You got it all wrong...... You need a Monte Carlo And if It's a real mid-life crisis, it will be front wheel drive.

Another angle on Johns 30th:

What was I doing when John was born?
I was 21 yrs old in the fall of my senior year of college at U of Wis-Lacrosse probably at a bar on third street drinking 10 cent tappers. Either Old Style or Blatz....yea baby!!!

What was I doing when I was 30?
Not too much different than above, hadn't met my wife yet, was probably drinking $1 budweisers and just not too the high qty as the 10 cent tappers.

Nothing beats a Dodge Viper as for style. Clutch takes some getting used to and tires can be flat and look ok. In 3rd gear at higher than you would ever want to drive it , the engine is not even working hard.THere were no Mechanical problems after years of driving ,the car required almost down time. Very stable and care free car. MIke

trouble free Dodge?

Doesn't exist.

When I was 30 I was teaching with two kids in school. It flew by so fast I don't even remember it.

When John was born I was in middle school getting laid twice a day, which took a total of 30 seconds if there was foreplay involved.

I bought my first bike when I was 17 and my two seater little red sports car when I was 22.

speaking of how many posts, look at this loser I came across.
26,000 posts since 2007? How do you even do that?

Are you trying to get into my pants?

Oh BTW we all had a good laugh at your text last night! Believe it or not I had been drinking Capt as well...

No s***! How do talk that much about a late model Taco.....who the fxxx cares?! Now if it was a Duesenberg forum I could see it, if he had something interesting to say.

There are a few guys on Pirate with 30k+ posts, but they have been mods for over 10 years, and again Pirate is a setting where interesting things are said, rather than how to get the change to stop rattling in the ash tray of your tacoma.

When John was born I was 17
Havin sex with the woman I would eventually marry
Driving a 70 GTO
Doing any drug that didn't do me first
Skipping as much school as possible & would be moving out of my parents house in about 30 days

When I was 30 my wife was pregnant with my daughter & I was working construction
Had the same attitude & outlook on life that I currently have & plan to continue till the end
