Didn't know if anyone had seen this. TRD skid plates, different wheels, TRD side steps, that's about it.

"The Land Cruiser TRD comes exclusively equipped with a TRD suspension kit tuned for desert driving. This suspensions kit gives the Land Cruiser TRD a 25mm lift."

How do I get my hands on this? Can someone check part numbers and see if they have different springs or shocks?

Just do a basic lift and you'll be in good shape. OME packages are around $1500 from Slee. The rest of this "TRD" package seem to be mainly cosmetic.

I am very worried about losing the comfortable stock ride by doing any suspension work. When I did OME on my 100, my 100 now isn't the road trip car anymore. The 200 has become it and not because its newer but because its not soo firm. The 100 did get the heavy spring but usually when I am road tripping I have 4-6 adults with me.

The "heavy" springs and torsion bar adjustment (in front on the 100) was likely WAY too much for your load. Heavy assumes you have a heavy winch, steel bumpers front and rear with tire carrier, sliders, drawers and more. Even when my 100 was fully built with ALL of the above and more, I had mediums.

These shots are of my fully built, fully-loaded 100...& mediums. If you had heavies, I would expect a very harsh ride indeed.

I'm going to double check. I remember there being two options and I can't remember which one I picked. Salesman convinced me in one direction but not sure which. I remember at the time I was regularly driving 7-8 people in the vehicle. Now it's only 1.

If you want to keep the lightness of stock, then you get the stock-load springs:

Personally, I'd still get medium, but I like a firmer ride.
Check out Slee's site... Have a look at the left column here: Slee - Toyota 200 Series Land Cruiser Suspension

Unlike that "salesman" you referred to, they will listen to what you're after and then recommend an appropriate solution...as opposed to talking you into something heavier than your need.

All that and it's wearing skinny GRANDTREKS (the tire made from recycled shoes).

One thing I notice looking at these middle eastern LCs is how much better the truck generally looks with the factory tinted glass side and rear.

Agree. Not sure why they even make them without tint unless it's illegal there. My '08 LC (US) did not have factory tint on its rear window when I got it. I thought it was odd. I added it.

My '16 has the factory tint but also dealer added tint on front windows.

The Japan and Middle East spec LC's come with different bumpers, nicer color molded side steps, and 20" rims on some models.

Odd that you can't get the nicest version in US. They have the LX in those markets too FYI.

Anyway, sometimes when I am bored I google this stuff and look at them.

I did the 1.5inch OME light set up on my LX and I think it felt better then the stock suspension. I didn't like the feel of the AHC suspension, seemed like it was out of touch with the road. I'm not sure that it was 100 % though. Glad I changed it.

Recently considered a 16/17 after 2 years with my 2015.

Prefer '13-15 front better - new rear design is nice
but not enough to write the check.

↑↑↑↑ These have too much crapola.

Other changes are well worth it. LED headlights/foglights are great!!! Tech too. Interior much upgraded. Personally I like the front better and why I got myself the 16 while I could still get a new 15.
