another thing.
I think it's highly irresponsible to imply that people running 33s and open diffs can easily run the trail.
sure, it can be done, but not without the high probability of damage.
larger tires are suggested for a reason. lockers are suggested for a reason.
the trail changes all the time. although you might've thought it easy the last time you went through, you might not be so lucky next time.
insurance? Not needed for an informal "hey you guys lets go wheeling on Saturday". Is needed for a formal "I'm gonna run the Rubicon 5 months from now and promote the idea on a web forum where the entire world can see it" run. Don't screw this up. It would only hurt the OHV community in general and the LandCruiser community in particular.
i drove a geo tracker out there doing the whole trail on 29s, no problems...

so you made up the part about camping at Spider Lake?
do you know the restrictions or not?
what do you mean ONCE information is available from the local authorities? the information is available now.
do you not know where to find the information?
...and people say this is one of the tough trails?

it's all good dude.
have fun on your trip. I'm sure you'll follow whatever rules/regs are in place at the time.
I don't think Spider's currently open for camping, nor will it likely be any time in the future, so keep that in mind when you go.
and dont call me dude , I am from east europe, we prefer comrade or tovarishI don't want to see you get in trouble with the people who show up with 33's and no lockers and you spend the entire time stacking rocks for them. I also don't want someone to get injured, you get your but sued off.
Just looking out for a fellow mudder!![]()
my attorney is coming along - he drives an fj 40
you could start by giving me respect for taking your junk to moab last year, but I know I will never be as cool as you norcal guys, but rememnber, I was wheeling my 80 on the rubicon before you installed an voice recognition system on your transmissionand dont call me dude , I am from east europe, we prefer comrade or tovarish
tell me...arschloch, is this your attempt at humor?
or are you seriously trying to call me out for my posts in this thread?
not you Dan, the other attorney - my pittbull named IggyGreat!
I am just so offended right now. I spent all of last year, cleaning up trails, 4 wheeling the tires off my rigs, meeting the coolest people ever, and everybody still hates me, ver disappointing and insulting. Not what I would want my children to go through. Maybe I should invite every MR hater to my house, cook them goulash, and rub their feet. Donate to their cause, but I know that they will go home and wake up and blow big black clouds over my parad and rain on it. I mean can everybody please just love me and realize that I am also growing up and I am not a threat to any community and if anything I have helped a lot of communities. Maybe I just do not communicate it the right way? And I am sorry I got excited and I kind of made it sound like an official run but I really go inspired by Marlin and his run and I wanted to give people that same experience where you see more than just obsticles - there are stories and history on that trail - its really amazing and I look forward to it. And one day little baby Mickey Rubicons will be strapped into fj40 seats and I already see it through their eyes. I am just reall having hurt feelings now and I am upset and it is popping my bubblers.
