$200 off if you order their sliders on Monday. Anyone in San Diego interested in saving about $40 by combing shipping?

This thread subject should have San Diego in it since it's so specific. Several threads already about MT Monday.

How much cheaper?

I'm in for sharing shipping to San Diego. We can ship it to my office downtown.

Cool. I'll send you a pm so we can organize this. I think the metal tech sliders are worth the extra $ over wk..

What's the difference? As I recall one of the two is 3/8in instead of 1/4". The WKs are $680 for the stronger steel and powder coated.

Since this thread is titled Metal-tech, and you are asking specifically happy to answer your question.

The Metal-tech 4x4 sliders have engineered steel bodies that are laser cut and CNC formed making an outer skin that is supported internally like an aircraft wing. This is quite a bit stronger than off the shelf box steel of same wall thickness. That's just the main bodies. Yes it costs quite a bit more to build, but they are built to match the quality of the trucks we put them on. (These are the same bodies we introduced back in 04'. For over the past 7 yrs owners of 80's have been flogging them with no mercy. And as of this year on 6 of the 7 continents.)

Metal-tech 4x4 sliders have always used DOM-SRA, tubing and have always come powder coated and shipped on custom commercially made pallets for them. The regular price is $800 (Monday sale put them at a one time price of $600 w/ an ARB tow strap). Also no sales tax. :)

There are quite a few other key differences that sets Metal-tech 4x4 and our products like our sliders apart from the rest. More info in my post on this thread: https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/535338-sliders-tucked-step-style-5.html:beer: page 5.

If you have any more questions please do ask, happy to answer them.

I don't need to buy these, because I already did (but didn't get the deal, dammit). However, I did see the difference between the WK and the MT sliders and am really, really glad that I spent the few dollars more for Mark's stuff. They are worth it. I just don't think the WK could take the abuse that the MT will. Mark's stuff is MUCH better quality.

My WK have taken some serious abuse. I wouldn't question either WK or MT. I'd be happy with both honestly. I think the final product of MT is a bit higher quality, but you can't go wrong with either one.
