Nope, I did not have to climb that rock. It was a totally poser move and I paid for it. But anyone will tell you, it is never the times that you think your going to have a problem, that you have a problem. That's why I put my seatbelt on to move my rig 5 feet out of the way on a trail. I stopped rolling on a ledge that time, if I had not, it was a good 60+ feet down to the bottom.

did you hit your head? you look a little wobbly when you get out... were you okay?

My wife watched the video and is now going to let me spend the money for a real cage for the 40. It currently has a roll bar along with the front dash bar. I will be ordering one soon from OrangeFJ45.

I buy all of my steel from Earle M Jorgensen. they have a Boston office. If you call, talk to Coleen. She usualy gives me MUCH better prices than are listed on their website. As with everything, the more you buy, the cheaper it gets. They deliver the steel straight to your door. Tube comes in sticks from 18-24 ft lengths. If you just need small lengths, wait till I place an order and you can come pick it up Then you get the benefit of my bulk pricing. I will b e ordering 200 ft of 1.75, .120 wall DOM soon. This goes for any YT member

I turned the key started it up and wheeled the rest of the day. I rolled on the first trail of the day, actually just playing around while everyone was getting organized, but we wheeled some of the toughest trails in the park later in the day. the controls were a little tweaked, (steering wheel bent, foot pedals shifted to one side, Shifter hit the dash, and steering box bolt tabs broke off) but after 20 minutes of trail fab, we were back on the trail. The roll didn't really effect my driving until the next day for some reason. Getting rolled is kind of like getting knocked out, I jumped back up ready for a fight. It was the next day I started thinking about rather I wanted to take a helecopter ride to the hospital or not every time I lined up on something tough.

Todays wheeling!

Bette and I went for a little ride this afternoon, nice and muddy, about 6-12 inches of muck on top of frozen ground. Was glad I have a winch! We were on a washed out section of trail, 4' bank on one side and about a 2' bank on the other. There was a small tree (4" dia) which had fallen across the trail. I went to the right side and lifted the tree a few inches and let the tree slide along the roof. Good, out from under it but rt front tire has hit the bank and now I'm getting sideways. Eventually I'm compleatly sideways and can only move a foot or two. Got out the tree saver, pulled out 30' of cable and pulled the front end around. Have one pic but can't figure out how to resize so I can post.
I'm finding more and more trails on this land that are going to be a great time for all but the most hardcore in our group.

Thanks for posting that up Pete!
Dave, the top came from Kina after the FG, it was red and I just sanded and hit it with a couple of cans of Rustoleum. Eventually I will have to replace some of the gutter (above the windshield is pretty bad) and there is one rust spot around the door hinge on the pass. side. My tub was out of wack and Kina spent alot of time with his power-pac bending things back into shape.
Anyone who has wheeled up here in Swanzey has been on different sections of these trails. Every time i go up there I find more loops to add. I think that it is hard enough for the Moderate guys to have fun but not to intimadating for the stock/lightly modified guys.
In the spring we will have to schedule a work day up there. (several water bars need to be repaired) I'll be talking with the land manager to see what else we can do.
For the more adventurous in the club Carnage is just a short drive down a class 6.

Oh yea, ordered an OEM gas tank from Cruiser Dan on Mud today, should have it next week. (anyone want a poly tank?)
