Just checking to see if we are having a meeting next week ?

should be there

I'll be there, driving something less off-road worthy than my (still being fixed) FJ40.

Was good to see everyone last night, and to meet a few new (to CLCC) guys as well. Hope this bunch continues to grow and we all contribute to a fun TLCA chapter. This meeting had the most attendees of any monthly meeting in the year + that I've been a CLCC member.

I'm looking forward to Saturday's dinner party and the next weekend's wrench-fest.

X2...great turnout!:beer::beer::beer::beer:

x3 good turn out

Now if we could just get all these guys together to go wheelin.

Not that I'm a big wheeler, but I love to camp and they seem to go hand in hand.

Rhea and I went camping in the beginning of December to a favorite place of ours in George Washington National Forest at the Elizabeth Furnace Campground. It was unfortunately closed, so we went about 7 miles south of there to Little Fort Campground, also in GWNF. It is not as nice and we had only been there once before about ten years ago.

What I didn't remember is that Little Fort is right next to a network of off road trails. Most of them are for quads only, but several are suitable for trucks.

How about a camping trip to there? It is relatively close (just west of Front Royal) and it could be ours for the weekend as it only has ten spots. It is first come, first served, so we would have to arrive pretty early.

Check it out here George Washington %26 Jefferson National Forest - Little Fort Campground

Most of the GW Natl Forest trail system, with the exception of the fire roads, has been closed to legal 4 wheeling. May I suggest instead. If enough people in the club want to go wheeling, why don't we plan a trip to Rausch Creek. The camping is free and they have trails for every level truck and driver. There are hotels nearby for those who don't camp. Those who don't want to wheel their truck can catch a seat in a wheeling truck. If they don't want to wheel at all, the Yuengling brewery tour is a short drive, and Pottsville itself is worth the trip. If there are first timers who are apprehensive we could do a training run where they could have someone experienced ride along and guide them.
