Hello! I'm in Austin for the next 4-6 months and was hoping to make a pitstop to a trusted mechanic to help with the front end wheel work (bearings, cleaning, axles).

Does anyone have recommendations?

Much appreciated!

I think Duggy's Garage is in Houston?? Bearden Automotive is another trusted local option, not a Land Cruiser-specific shop but extensive experience with Land Cruisers and a shop trusted by many of the local Cruiserheads.

+1 for Bearden but it is also up North.

+1 for LCS. Edwin is on the board and great group of guys. Had them help out with a few odds and ends on my truck.

I can also vouch for Duggy's but they are in Houston. Did the PPI on my truck and then some of the subsequent work before I brought it to Houston. Amazing communicators, helped prioritize the work and guided on what was easily done on my own and where I should invest.

Forgot about Flamingo. Those guys are pretty good as well. Owners wife has a 100 series.

Quick update: Went to Land Cruiser Specialists in Austin. These guys are BOMB! Were super honest with what they thought was unnecessary to do after coming in with some specific things I thought I needed.

Not to mention their huge lineup of sick Land Cruisers...!!!

Will be back again.

Agreed. Right after I got mine, I was working on a couple of things and needed some parts I couldn't locate. Called them up, drove an hour or so up from San Antonio, and they helped me out with some take off parts. Plus they showed me around the shop, and got to hang out for a bit. I'd use them again without hesitation.

Interesting thread - anyone know of a 'Land Cruiser Specialist' caliber equivalent in Dallas?

Another vote for LCS. Great service.
