Hello fellas,

I've got a gx 470 with a vibration at 65mph that goes away at about 70.

It's nothing wild but it is beyond my time to chase down at the moment.

Anyone in the area that has a suggestion for a shop they trust?

Thanks and have a great weekend.

Not in KS, but based solely on what you've said, I think it's a stuck caliper. Had to replace my driver side caliper on my 03 around 125k

Usually vibrations that high in speed are tires or driveline related. Try getting your tires inspected and balanced first.

For sure get your tires balanced first as aztoytec mentioned, then go from there. I'm in ICT and happy to help if you're still battling the vibration after a balance, shoot me a PM.

I work at a Chevrolet dealer in Hutchinson, if you are still having issues message me and I can get you in here.

Hey Doc I recently got myself a GX470 as well from Dallas. 09 with 208k on it in pretty good condition but had a similar issue. It ended up just being a tire balancing issue. I'm in East Wichita and I took it up to Luxury Import Specialists up in Bel Aire on North Rock Rd. They were a little more expensive but I trusted them more than the other shops I called. They specialize in Lexus and Mercedes and spoke knowledgeably on our GX's. They did my timing belt & water pump kit for me and I'll go back for my routine maintenance moving forward.

Other than that I'm having fun doing my own little mods on the "new" rig! See you around town.

Another place for you to consider is Westlink Auto, just north of 13th on Maize. I have taken one of my older Toyotas there for service and have been pretty happy with their work. If you live out west, may be convenient for you.

You ever decide on a place and get it looked at? What was the diagnosis?

I had a vibration when turning, turned out to be a CV boot failure. Replaced it and problem solved.
