First I gotta thank everyone in this forum. My existing love for my LC has been recharged and I've gotten zero work done at my job since I discovered this forum 2 days ago. :D

Now for my inqury: My '95 LC is giving me the clicks when turning - hinting that the birfs are in need of attention. I have minimal skilz/tools/facilities to do the work myself so I'm looking for a good mechanic in the LA area who can do the job at a good price. After searching the forums it sounds like TLC is a bit pricey. Can anyone recommend a good place for this work? (I'm right in LA but close to the West Hollywood area).

Booze,
I'd check out the link below and see if you can't jump yourself from a:banana: to a:banana:   via this dvd that helps show you how to do the job. From what I understand it is not hard at all. I have dug into the front axle to pull the 3rd mem, but no knuckle and birf job yet, it's on the way. It's always nice to get new tools and gadgets, learn about your truck, and save major cash (I think a birf job is in upwards of 700+ just for the labor. Also I think most will agree that the confidence gained is priceless.

I live just North of Sunset near San Vicente, so if you do end up doing the work or need a hand let me know. If I can make it I will.

Call Man-A-Fre and ask for Steve or Robert:

Excellent experience with them, much cheaper than TLC, no affiliation, highly recommended.

Thanks for the replies! Keep 'em comin if you got 'em.

I am considering doing it myself as the savings would be choice (DVD looks like a HUGE bonus). Where I live isn't the best of facilities (narrow driveway w/o garage) and it's been a while since I did any work bigger than  (I did change out my PHH a couple years ago. Big accomplishment for me! ;)).

I might yet talk myself into it but would like to know my options. Thanks so much everyone!!!!

I would defientely do this myself, cost me over $1100 the first time I had a mechanic do it- to this day I regret wasting away that much money.

So far I've done a couple of these myself, the dvd is a big help. Let me know when you do it and I'll help out.
