I'll echo the kudos from everyone else. Great, low key, mellow event. It certainly is a "family" event, with a lot of youngsters there. I'm still curious if the S'mores suppliers actually had kids, or if they just like to see them bouncing off the walls
Good times, good raffle, and a fun easy (?) trail. I saw a couple of gasps when I was on the sluice area, but after wheeling Rubicon last month, that was a breeze.
This trip also allowed me to run down through the center of California, down through Wichipec to my family's property near the Hoopa Indian reservation. The roads certainly have improved, but it's a GPS, radio & HAM wasteland. All told, I spent 12 hours driving, from 8 to 10:30 back to O'brien, and until 8 PM back to Vallejo.
20 hours driving up and back
900 miles round trip. @ 15 MPG.
5 wins in the raffle
total experience - Priceless!
