I was thinking Tuesday this year, why?

Registered!! Danny, sounds great, commit-able?.....Well it's all part of the same disease we suffer from. :D

Is there anyone going in Thursday via the fire road?? If so PM me.

You skipping the trail! :(

No but thought about going in and dumping some gear Thursday via the fire road. Problem is, I got a little lost coming out 2 years ago-ending up down at Patrick Creek lodge. Didn't want to repeat it. Not sure what I'm doing yet. We're definitely ON for the Friday run though!

After meeting you guys at Rubithon, my wife has advised me that we are going. Just trying to secure the days off from the firehouse. Looking forward to it! I don't have a trailer, should I be concerned about driving up there, wheeling the trail, then returning home?

Not unless you pull a total bone headed move.
Stock rigs can make it with ease.

There was one miss-hap recently. Some one was up on the trail by them selves and got off the trail some how in a "high penalty area". Stupid mistakes were made and it didn't end well.

Trailers have been pulled through with no problems.
You will have a great time!:D

p.s. now if we really wanted to make this exciting, we could try to run the trail in reverse:meh: and I don't mean backwards! wait... I mean backwards:hmm:

You shouldnt have any trouble on the McGrew trail. We were actually laughing a little that the last part of the Rubicon was a lot like the Mcgrew (basically from Observation out).

Look forward to seeing you again. Pack your swim trunks and sunscreen.

Hi guys lurker, but lover of the trail. How many of you are registered or how many rigs do you expect?

Between the 2 runs (Fri & Sat) Typically between 30-40 trucks end up at Sourdough. I think the largest event was 47 and was still lots of fun and manageable. Numbers are still a little low this year, but expecting a solid 30 out of it.

Just got the time off, and all signed up now!:grinpimp:

For us Ham geeks, what is the common freq to use in the area and on the trail?

Also, I saw that the meal is pot luck style on Saturday, is there any kind of list to show who is bringing what? I'll bring wine:cheers:

Just got my old pal Wally & wife from GCC registered! About a half dozen former club members from SoCal coming this year!:clap:

It's like going to a drive in movie- the more folks you stuff in your truck the cheaper it gets- until you break something..

Do we have a sign up somewhere for Friday or Saturday? I'm thinking Friday for me, then stay 2 nights.. I might run the FS roads in.
