I should be coming too from Raleigh. Anyone needs a ride for parts, let me know.

FJinTegaCay's wife will be in Holly Springs this weekend, so I'm going to drop it by on my way out of town. Thanks for the offer NCNole!

Sorry guys and girls going to have to pull out of this one at the last minute. Some family stuff popped up. :frown:

Many thanks to the few that showed up today. Got alot done on our trail, but also figured out we need to fix our log bridge really bad now. One cable has broken.

That being the case, if you want there will be another work weekend next Saturday if anyone wants to go out there that weekend, not i. Will be crowded as heck. The USFS is not putting it on, but NC4x4 is.

If we have anyone going up i can probably get you the cable to fix out bridge from the USFS in time.

Despite the periodic rain showers and resulting mud, on top of the blisters, I had a really good time today.

It was good to see and catch up with Darin, Kenny, Mike and to get to know Joanna.

Thanks to Mike for letting me ride on the shake down run for Burt and for getting my adrenaline going when I thought we were going to flop 2x.

Below are a couple of videos I shot of Burt tackling the climb on Dickie Bell. Of course, the videos don't do it justice but you can hopefully get the idea that the obstacles were no match for Burt's new stance and tires. Again, great job on the transformation Mike! Glad you were able to track down the source of that clicking sound.

Part I
Part 2

I can't believe how easy Burt made that look. Thanks so much for hopping out to take video.

I need a massage! That sledge hammer kicked my butt yesterday... and foot and shin:whoops:

Fun time though, especially riding in Burt in the afternoon. The reaction from David and Joanna's first ride in a beefed up 60 was priceless! Mike proved the theory that you won't tip over until your at a 45 degree angle. I think we got to 44 degrees.

I have a few cell pics but will post up later, MUD is giving me a hard time...just like that sledge hammer. :bang:
