I mount my traction boards on my Dissent roof rack and I’d like to be able to easily fold the pins down when I’m not running the boards. I’ve seen Koan’s solution but that requires orienting the boards parallel to the cross members and I want to have the boards parallel to the side of the vehicle so I can remove them for use from one side.

Is there anything out there besides Kaon’s brackets? I’ve thought about making something out of C channel that spans the Dissent cross members to attach the Kaon mounts to.

Without measuring, it looks like the kaon product you linked to may work if you mount on opposite sides of the car and the maxtrax. You’d have to mount it to the maxtrax right and left sides, and on the pax/driver side for the mounts. It wouldn’t be as secure given you’d be using one of the hand hold cut outs, but it’d fit the bill of what you’re seeking.

Again, this is assuming the measurements work out for mount vs new (atypical) solution.
