Hey guys

I'm going to be ordering a set of maxtrax from Dark Horse this week, and Josh said if we can get a group together we all could save a bit more. Not sure on pricing yet, but post up if you're interested. Once I have a count, I'll head down and see what they say. Please note, this deal is for full members only. If you have not signed up yet, now is the time!!
 
OK gang, here's the latest. The Maxtrax sets are for two Maxtrax and leashes. The color is Orange. If we order less than 9 sets, our price is $273 plus shipping. If we order 10 or more sets, the pricing goes down to $263 plus shipping. Online pricing is steady at $299 plus shipping.

In an effort to order as many sets as we can, we will open this buy to all levels of 406 membership. No discount card required.

Soooooo, who is definitely in at this point?

Ok gang, here's the status. Dark Horse checked on availability, and we would not see anything for two months! That won't work, as there is going to be a special trip coming up in which we will quite possibly need them. I checked with Cruiser Outfitters, but didn't get a reply, so I suspect they have no stock either. Southeast Overland had no stock. I then got ahold of Sierra Expeditions, and they have stock. They are willing to work with us, and have offered free shipping. They are still $299, but a $25 savings with free freight. This is pretty much what we would have paid with Dark Horse. If you would like to order a set from Sierre Expeditions, place the order and enter "over99" for the coupon code. I ordered mine, and my card was charged $299, and will ship on Monday!! You must place your order by the end of next week (9/16) to get the discount. In the notes section, please reference 406 Cruisers.

Oh, and the special trip? Stay tuned, and set aside the weekend of October 1st & 2nd...details to follow. This will be waaaaay different than any trail ride we've been on so far!

Out of curiosity, how did you contact us? I can't seem to find an email or similar. That said we have a really limited supply of Maxtrax so a group buy would be tough until Maxtrax USA gets more back in stock to fulfill orders. Sorry we missed your inquiry, I'd love to resolve that so we make sure it doesn't happen again! :D
 
I actually called and left a mesaage in the VM. You guys have always been fantastic about calling back, so I just figured you had no stock in. I can imagine how busy you guys get, so I wasn't too worried about it. For future reference, is it best to call or email? I do want to order another set soon too, as well as a bunch of other stuff (seals and tie rod ends), which I'd prefer to get from you. What do you have in stock currently for maxtrax?
 
Either totally works. Was it in the last week? I've been out for CruiserFest so it may very well be waiting on my desk, group buys go through me :D I'll have to look tomorrow, as of last we had black and titanium only in stock. We'd love to help you out!
 
Thanks Kurt! I left the message on Thursday, but didn't mention the group buy, just a general inquiry on availability. I'll touch bases with you next week and check on pricing and confirm colors, which I don't care too much about, though I may want a better deal if you only had pink!!
