I have A 2000 LAND CRUISER, WILL BE ATTACHING THE SMOOTH BLACK SLIDERS FROM WHITE KNUCKLES THIS WEEK. WHAT PRODUCT(S) DO YOU RECOMMEND I USE TO GIVE THE SILDER A LITTLE GRIP SO WHEN SOMEONE STEPS UP THEY DONT SLIP OFF? TAPE OR SPRAY ON ADHESIVE LIKE THEY USE ON THE BED OF PICK UO TRUCKS?? just two ideas
BUT AT THE SAME TIME I DONT WANT THE MATERIAL TO CATCH ANd KEEP ALL THE MUD AND GRIM WHICH WILL MAKE THE TRUCK EITHER ALWAYS LOOK DIRTY AND/OR IT WILL BE A MAJOR PITA TO CLEAN. THANK YOU. ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

I think 3M makes a similar tape in 2". The key is to not put it where the backside of your
leg my rub it while getting out of the vehicle.

Yep 3M shower base grip tape can be had from hardware stores works a treat! I used it on my fjc sliders and door sills.

Has anyone actually used it on their sliders? Or did you just leave it as normal. I figure that is why your shoes have soles on the bottom so that you dont need to add extra material to the sliders. But if anyone did use it or has seen it and liked the look I would very much appreciate a picture or two to copy. THANKS

I have skateboard tape on mine (from OSH IIRC). It's held perfectly fine for many years now.

I mounted mountain bike tires on my FJ Cruiser's sliders. Weather stripping adhesive (zip ties til it dried) held great.

I used an aggressive tread pattern but something like a Kenda Small Block (below) might look better on the 100.

I can't find the pics - but I installed short sections of tire for the short tubes

Awesome and creative idea Manhattan! There's a chance I'll steal that idea when I add sliders :D

I used 3M Slip-Resistant General Purpose 2" Tape on my sliders. Do not put it where the backside of your leg/ass might rub it while getting out of the vehicle. The :princess: won't like having her ass sanded off everytime she gets out of the vehicle.
