We have some people in town and were thinking of taking them out on Sat. and just wanted to check and see if these trails are still open before we get out there. I know some of this area was facing closures and just wanted to know if this has happened??

Montana Mtn is a cool area. I remember it well. Trails are rough, but not too much. Altitudes vary a lot. There is a lot of runoff, and roads may be deeply washed out. The trail over the top is really interesting. There are views for miles. It is one of the only places in the state over 5000 ft. where you are not covered by trees. You can see out for endless distances. The view is priceless. It's a nice drive.
Montana Mtn is one of the few things that I miss after leaving the East Valley to move north. I have had some great times up there. It is one of the best day-trips around for rough trails and scenery.
