Starting the long slow road to getting this thing together. Took the EGR cooler off (the PO started desmogging it and chopped it up but didn't remove it). Did a compression test. Engine is gonna need some work. But plowing ahead and talking it apart.

Cool!

This is awesome Heather!

Looks pretty solid so far. Great project for you two!

Thanks y'all.

@beno I'll be calling soon enough.

Margot, Bill and I did an inventory on all the parts the PO stuffed in the back of the truck and I have most of the body and exterior stuff I need, except rubber. Gonna need a lot of weather stripping and such. The mechanicals will be the parts I need. The harness was a mess. I had wire nuts!!

We stripped the wacky home wiring off, chopped out the crappy, crooked front part of the cage to get to the last roof bolts, and I've started making a spreadsheet. :)

Anyone have a transmission tunnel for a '74 laying around?

So this will be done right around the time she gets her license, right?

Actually, that was kind of the plan. Although I suspect mama might want a couple of years to work the bugs out first. :)
