The snow cat did not break trail. A 48 Jeep flattie did, that can go anywhere anytime cause its so light. The three best vehicles on the trip were the sprung over 40 w 350, and 38's, the Jeep flattie and the red 40 w 350 turbo 400 and 35's The other vehicles did not go as far because they were not as dolled out as the 2 40's and the flattie. Our mission was to make it to Mckinstry Lake (SP) just below Hell Hole. At the summit were the 2 40's, the Flattie and the cat. Behind were the other vehicles. They could have / might have made it to the lake. After a ten hour haul the decision was made to turn around. Backing down the red 40 had exhaust vapor blocking his left mirror and did not want to venture into never never land on the right and instead of stopping proceeded to get major stuck. The driver was upset but was winched out in short order and the entire group was on the way out in 20 minutes. I could sight the photos from the web sight but need to move on.NorCalDoug said:Looks like fun. Where did you guys go?
Sorta like cheating with the 'cat breaking the trail, no?
Nice green rig -- Patrol, right?
Bezel police might comment on the red 40.
Did it snow most of the time?
