Map Light Removal

Quick and dumb question. Replacing all interior lights with PFran kit. Have all done except map lights.

Here's the dumb question - do I need to remove the whole over head panel (with sunglass holder, garage link, etc) just to replace map lights? I would rather just pop the lens and replace but can't get them to come off.

Assuming I do have to remove the panel, Should I pull from the windshield side or tailgate side to bring panel down?

The lenses just pop out, no need to remove entire assembly. I pulled mine out a couple years ago to add LEd lights. Unfortunately I have no idea which side I pried on. Hopefully someone else can chime in...

I have the same question! I'm hoping to have my kit in the mail soon too! So the lenses just pop out?? Let us know for sure!!

Yes they just pop out. Install for entire kit ~ 15 minutes.

I would check that red light and see if you like it prior to closing plastic piece back up.

I got them out by prying on the side of the light closest to the windshield, Used a small plastic interior trim removal tool.
