Manual transmission reverse issue (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone,
I have an issue on my Toyota 2007 gearbox, difficult to change it to reverse gear unless I use the first gear then change it to the reverse gear.

I would double check the linkage. It sounds to me that it could be out of adjustment, loose or possible bent?

That is a plastic shifter seat problem in the manual shifters. Is a 5 buck part, accessible from the shifter boot side. In the 100 , not sure.

What happen if you press the clutch twice before trying the reverse gear? Is the engine running in proper RPM? Bad engine mounts?

The RPM in the normal, and when I press the clutch twice nothing happens.

The shift seat bushing is accessible from top side of the transmission inside your truck if the transmission is an H151F.

How old is the clutch plate/disk? and pressure plate. When the engine is off, can you shift into reverse as normal? If so I think the clutch disk or pressure plate is on its way out. Also check the hydraulic fluid, may be its leaking and is not disengaging the clutch properly.
