Manual transmission 3rd gen 4 runner with only 145,000 miles.
This truck is in great shape. I never planned to sell it, but then I bought an LX470 to accommodate my kids and their friends.
Fresh from the detail shop.
I bought it Nov 2017 with 99,000 miles.
Previous Owner had the timing belt and water pump done at the dealership at 97,000 miles.
I have since done a full baseline and:
Bilstien Shocks
Old Man Emu springs
North West Trail Innovations front bumper
Smittybilt winch
General Grabber ATx tires with lots of life left.
Tundra “big brake” upgrade on the front.
The wheels are from an early 2000 Tundra because the originals wouldn’t accommodate the brake calipers without spacers. I had them painted to match the truck.
All fluids synthetic and all maintenance up to date. It needs nothing.
New Toyota Genuine Part Steering Rack
Runs like a top, front end rebuilt in the last 40k miles.
I have records and receipts including those from the previous owner, and the clean Carfax report from when I bought it.
I still have the original wheels, chrome front bumper and running boards. If you really want the OEM look, I can put it all back together for a few extra dollars.
The frame and underbody is the Achilles heal of these vehicles. When I bought the truck, it had some surface rust. I wire brushed the entire frame, treated it with Corroseal primer, then Chassis Saver, then black spray paint. Then I’ve touched it up as needed. I don’t want to be accused of hiding anything. I’ve just done my best to maintain my classic truck.
Disclosures:
-The power antenna does not go up and down. It had an aftermarket static antenna when I bought it. I replaced it with an OEM power antenna. I think it needs to be reattached inside the dash, and I just haven’t taken he time to do it.
-The winch power feeds in, but the outfeed is manual free wheel only. It needs a new solenoid. I’ve used it this way numerous times without a problem.
-First gear is sometimes stiff to push into. It’s been intermittent and unchanged since I bought it 50,000 miles ago. I don’t know if that’s a common issue with these transmissions or not. I’ve had it looked at twice and no one has recommended any service. For that reason, I have changed the transmission fluid several times, but the problem never changes and it’s never been bad.
-It’s a 25 year old truck. The body has some dings.
Clean title in hand.
$15,000 firm.
