Good day, all knowing brethren.
So I'm looking to install a manual boost controller into my 1KZ-TE to up the boost to hopefully deliver some more power.
I have already installed a front mount intercooler, 3 inch exhaust, egr delete, so I'm not too worried about additional heat. I have also just replaced all the injectors, glow plugs, and fan clutch, so things under the hood should be running fine.
Have any of you already installed a manual boost controller? Is there a specific model I should be looking at? Other than keeping boost under 14 psi to not affect the CPU fuel cut off, is there anything I should be looking at doing, or not doing that someone has already trouble shot along the way? Is there a way to cut around the 14 psi max and get more without things getting iffy?
Thank you for your time, ladies and gents, I do appreciate the shared knowledge.

I have a simple manual boost controller on mine. Cant remember the brand but works great. I also installed a boost gauge at the same time. I have the boost gauge tapped into the intake manifold in line with the tiny air filter. Every says thats the best spot for the boost gauge line on these engines.

I also have a front mounted intercooler. My boost gauge max'd out is about 12. But I have heard this is technically 14 since the intercooler will give us slightly lower psi readings.

This is the boost controller i have, but the provided vacuum line was too small and felt too thin anyway, so I bought a slightly larger/better quality vacuum line.

Thanks for the info, I'll definitely check out that model.
Really appreciate you getting back to me.
