I had to say it. I couldn’t help myself.
I was heading to work and I stopped to get gas around 4:30 a.m. this morning. As I’m filling the tank on my 60 a guy pulls up in an FJ Cruiser. He’s got the music blasting and I can feel the “THUMP, THUMP” of the subwoofer throwing out a Hip-hop beat. Hey, at least the FJ’s are well made and I don’t hear a nasty buzzing rattle of something about to be thumped off the vehicle by the subwoofer. Anyway, I can’t help but notice the huge chrome wheels and extremely low profile tires that you normally see mounted up on a Cadillac Escalade. For some reason it caused me to have a nasty vision of the vehicle being lowered in its near future.
As I finished up filling the tank and was getting ready to get back into my rig I stopped and looked at the guy…I couldn’t help it….and blurted out: “Man, that’s just wrong”. He gave me a WTF? Look, and I just turned, got into my rig and left.
Yes, I know, individual expression and all. Be free to do as you like…and I agree. Normally I wouldn’t have said anything but it just struck me.
