Dr Evil
Picked up this M416 a couple days ago. Build date 12/65.
Pumped some co2 in the tires, and dragged it home.
It's pretty abused, but not a ton of rust to deal with, just a lot of cosmetic issues. I'll also have to reverse some redneck fabrication. Can't complain, for $300.
Used a power puller to straighten that bulkhead today.
Some real fancy tailgate fabbin' going on here. Probably going to try to salvage the sheet metal there, and build a suitable gate.
The rear cross member is bent, so that will get replaced with some rectangular tubing, with a receiver.
Ripped the old mismatched lights off today, and pulled all the wiring. I'll start fresh there.
Parking brake works, and the wheel bearings seem like their OK. Tires will get replaced after the SOA.
Overall, I'm happy to have found one close by, for dirt cheap.
