Been searching the interwebs for this supplement (referenced in the Toyota owners manual) but no luck. Any resources or leads appreciated! BR

The HZJ77 should be the same as any 1HZ powered 7* series of the same years. Does the supplement go with the Engine FSM and does the supplement have a publication number like the FSM?

Thanks for your response. I’m not sure about that. I’m working from the generic 1-HZ manual that is in English - not specific to my model but covers my engine. If you have the maintenance schedule for the 1-HZ, I think that’s what I’m looking for.

I mentioned that most toyota publications come with some kind of reference number, do you have it?.
I have 3 1HZ manuals, there are no supplements that come with them.
This owners manual, are you talking about a workshop manual or the instruction manual that comes with the vehicle?

The maintenance schedule for the engine is in the 1HZ engine manual, do you have one of them? The body and chassis manual covers body maintenance.

Thanks Rosco, and sorry I’m such a greenhorn. My vehicle is JDM, so the English Owners Manual I procured is not original to the vehicle and has no reference # that would apply to my vehicle. I found the 1-HZ manual for my vehicle online but again it didn’t come with my vehicle. The owners manual references a separate “Maintenance Schedule” in addition To the the engine manual and body/chassis repair manual, so I thought it was a vehicle-specific publication I might track down.

Not sure how well a typical maintenance schedule applies to a vehicle 25+ years old, a lot could have taken place in that time. You're best bet is to just have the vehicle looked over by a shop and address what is needed. Most of it is obvious and some you should just do as a new owner for peace of mind and baselining purposes. These are simple vehicles, Timing belt, bushings, knuckle rebuilds, and mostly just fix whatever is leaking or does not feel right.

The owners manual references a separate “Maintenance Schedule”

I have never heard of it or seen one. It may have been a few pages of basic engine maintenance they sold when they were new.
This one from 1990 is the full service and maintenance manual up until 99 and it what most of us are using. It has all the schedules
The differences between 1HZs is minimal. Just an update in 99 and some are 12v some 24v, some have a temp sensors in different places and some have a ACSD (I doubt yours has one)

And this one from Amazon looks like it would do the job also. It appears to be a photocopy of the one above inside
