The last hidden gem is a 1937 nash lafayette bought by the huz grandmother new, the original tag is in the front seat. Im uncovering it tomorrow for pics of the frint grill and beautiful wood dashboard.

Guy has a fondness for british vehicles..and hinted at bigger projects in his huge barn lol

That LR would be a cool platform for a project vehicle :D

Johnny mike and I just met a whole bunch of cruiser addicts up that way! If you run into a guy with a dark beard in a white 80 that's josh. Have fun

Like the lobster boat, my wife's family on her mother's side are all lobster men in Maine. Her grandfather bought a new lobster boat at age 91, he refuses to retire and still drives the boat at age 93.

WOW. Just when you thought you had the latest Meatball dictionary he comes out with you needing a new version.

I had a British vehicle. That ended my fondness for British, well anything but beer and tea :).

Enjoy the trip! I went to school in Maine and loved it. Went up to LL Bean at least once a month.

This reminds me that I've got to take a trip back to Maine. I've got a good bit of family up there and it's a good relaxing place when it's not mosquito season. There's a certain pride you feel in Maine in the winter when you pull your FJ up to a restaurant in the only 4wd vehicle and park with all of the snowmobiles.

Just got back myself from a ten day visit to VT, NH and ME. Only saw a few cruisers, and a ridiculous amount of Subarus! The family joke was, "hey kids, there's Parliament, Big Ben and a Subaru" or " here comes a red one" every 4-5 minutes.

Only 4 lobsters in my two days in Maine, really should have had some for breakfast. Personal favorite was camping in NH near Mt. Washington, only maybe 4 campsites out of 30 rented, and a river to ourselves-peace and quiet! Saw the Northern Lights for the first time as well. Only put 3200 miles on the odometer with 850 miles on the last day, straight back from NH for a 17 hour marathon(it helped that I dropped off family at airport in NH, for their sake and mine).

Pemaquid two nights, camped in Acadia one night. Among our favorites was the town of Camden. Wish we could have spent more time in Maine, but really enjoyed VT and NH. Best part was forgetting about a pressing issue- the destruction of my house from the wind storm in June!

Wow! I guess no one was hurt?? Yikes!

Pemaquid--we got married at Pemaquid 6 years ago- the family home is just down the road in New Harbor..I hope you went ot Shaws!!

Well, you picked a great wedding spot! We had to choose, and ended up at The Contented Sole for dinner, then Pemaquid Coop the next night. Lobster roll at Spragues in Wiscassett as well. We were eating so late we couldn't be too choosey-those coastal towns roll up the sidewalks early- and that's fine with me. Can't wait to go back. We had the annex at Hotel Pemaquid- reasonable and comfortable. Did a sunrise at the lighthouse one morning.

And no injuries thankfully! I heard the tree fall from next door ! We had a two hour wait for the "Timber", storm didn't take it right away.
