Anybody have a direction on how to access the main ecu under the driver's side dash for testing the plug? I have a U1114 code that is a "Lost Communication with MS Bus" code and the troubleshooting wants me to start checking voltage and resistance in the plug there.

I have the lights flashing upon startup and loss of cruise control and 4wd systems. GX has the 4runner multi-terrain module in it, has been in there for 3 years no issue.

Thanks.

This sounds like a Acrad question.
You can PM him or wait for him to see your post. He's pretty active on here, so he'll probably see in a day or so.

Trying to get the plug out of the main ECU under the dash, left side. Any tips on toyota plugs and getting the plug out? Hands are starting to look pretty raw lol

Normally you push the tab on top and then pull the connector. Sometimes its easier if you push it in, push the tab and then pull the coupler back.

Do you see a G## designation on wiring diagram you are looking at? Wonder if it might be a 82824-30420?

Assume you are trying to unplug BCM? Without crawling under my own dash not sure of orientation

I've found it's easier to use a screwdriver to depress the tab on the connectors. Then pull it out with your hand/fingers while the connector tab is depressed. They were not easy to get out on my 470.
