I've searched quite a bit today but have not found an answer to my question (likely due to the fact that not many are running the IM springs).

My setup:

IronMan 2" B springs
Doetsch shocks
30mm MAF Spacers up front
ARB Deluxe Bull Bar (no winch yet)

I'm looking to do caster correction. My rig is squirrily going 55MPH+ and on our local roundabouts. I have read many threads debating the merits of caster correction bushings/plates/drop brackets.

If I were to go with the MAF drop brackets I'd like to have opinons on the 2" or 3" size. The lift netted slightly over 2" from the original (likely sagging a bit) springs.

Appreciate your thoughts or links to threads I may have missed.

In principle, it's simple You increased the distance between the axle and the frame X amount, relative to new stock height. You need to increase the distance between the frame and the control arm rear pivot point the same distance. I think that's the specific answer to your specific question. If you raised the front end 2 inches over stock, lower the rear of the control arm 2 inches and your control arms are back to stock position, relative to the axle. Caster should be whatever it was before the lift. If 30mm spacers add an inch, you would want 3" drop brackets.

That is how it works, assuming your priority is to keep the control arms in the closest-to-stock geometrical relationship to the front axle as possible.

Many people on 'Mud don't go that route. Alternatives are:

If your goal is to simply affect caster to keep it in stock position...

If your goal is to maximize ground clearance...

If your goal is to keep the driveshaft at X angle between the diff and xfer case...

P.S. Did you get an alignment? When you pointed your axle more downward, you changed the alignment.

Easiest way, go to the MAF page or better, email them. I have the 4" but I have 4.5" lift. BTW Those brackets are worth the money I paid for. I had the caster correction bushings and the only lasted 1.5 years.
