MAF 2.5" Safari springs are supposedly a clone of OME.

Here's the OME specs:

CS 001 F 8 leaf 350 lb/in
CS 001 R 5+1 leaf 300/450 lb/in

CS 002 F 9 leaf 398 lb/in
CS 002 R 6+1 leaf 357/496 lb/in.

I think BBQ may be talking about MAF 4" springs. If he is, then I got nuthin'. Maybe Steve from MAF will chime in with more info.

Not sure of what specs you are referring to. Tat is all they gave me. I talked with Al @ MAF. They seem to be teaming up with 4+ on this project.

MAF is still in buisiness?.....

Whatcha mean?

Don’t pay too much attention to this user....

She comes out here every once in a while and posts up something that does not make any sense to anyone other than her and then gets her panties all twisted when someone asks her to explain what she said and her replies still defy any logic that a human could possibly comprehend....:hhmm:

:meh:

They make great products and offer them at low prices but more than a few people have had experienced bad service with them.

I'd say only buy parts from them when you absolutely have no other choice.

i have good service with them they even replaced a brake line that i had for almost 1 year them found out it was to short they replaced it no problem plus a few other things

When your business revolves around selling parts for trucks that have been chopped, cut, rolled, twisted and modified in countless way over the past 40 years of their existance I'm suprised that more of what they sell doesn't come
back. .... Hello, man-a-fre, I'd like to order a set of wheel cylinders for 71 FJ40.
three days later... hello, man-a-fre, you sent me the wrong parts....oh yeah, they're chevy axles..does that make difference

you'll miss them when they're gone

No MAF problems here. Only good experience with service and products.

So Dave, what's the story on these new MAF/4+ Plus springs?

Hey Cuz, what's the deal on using the year of my birth as your screen name? Doesn't that require some kinda written permission? :D

Is that Bullwinkle flashing us in your new avatar? "Watch me pull a rabbit out of this hat..."

Could be but no, that's just DracuMoose from Moose Drool. A fine winter brew IMNSHO.

Now back to tech, before the black hand comes down upon us. :o

If you mean the Colt M1911, you could have something there. Being a crazy Texan and an admirer of General George S. Patton, Cousin Lee usually totes a matched pair of pearl handled M1911's.

Tech content: He thinks the pearl handles match the whitewalls on his 40.

That, and John Moses Browning is too long for a user name. :)

BTW BBQ Boy, your avatar makes my mouth water every time I see it!

Let us know which springs you end up with. I'd like to replace my 2.5" lift which is sagging pretty bad on the driver's side rear. Leaning towards Alcan myself but trying to decide if I should go 4" or stay with 2.5".
