I just had to look up how to find those. When I get home this evening I’ll let you know. I learned something new and valuable today, thanks, nateDate Codes?
The dates were very strange it was 412? Regardless. My neighbor bought them from me today. The tires were made in Japan but they were labeled DOT 412. Ideas?I just had to look up how to find those. The date code usually appears only on one side of the tire, it's a 4 digit number inside of an oval. The code should never be 3 digits and is comprised of a 2 digit week, and a 2 digit month. For example the first week of 2023 would be 0123, the 52nd week would be 5223. This code tells how long it's been since a tire was manufactured with an accuracy of 6 days. Always check the date codes on new tires before having them installed. If they are more than 18 months, do not accept them. Tires begin ozone degradation the instant they come out of the mold. The dates were very strange it was 412? Regardless. My neighbor bought them from me today.
