so I got tired of trying to get places in my subie wrx, and bought an 09 tacoma. it is quite amazing what a difference having 4Lo will do for driving offroad!

here are a few pictures of it.... i figured out how to turn off the beep for the seatbelt, so my dog can sit in the car with me, and i have been filling the bed with skis and bikes and boats, which has been great....

now i need to start figuring out what i want to do to this thing... i am thinking a new front bumper/light bar figure out how to make the windshield wipers intermittent...

Welcome!:flipoff2:

Nice, I recently switched to a Taco too.

I was just thinking about the seatbelt beeping this weekend, how did you disable it?

the first two photos were on the Oh My God Road, out by Central city, and the last one was from Bill Moore Lake Road out in empire.

As far as the seatbelt beepie goes, here it is.
turn off car.
leave seatbelt unbuckled.
turn car to on position and push the odometer button until it says odo XXX.
turn off car and wait a couple of seconds.
turn on car and as lights go on, hold down the odometer button for a 12 second count. While still holding the button, put on seatbelt (after 12 count). Odometer will say B-on.
Push odometer button once, and it will say b-off.
Shut off car.
unbuckle seatbelt.
turn car on to see if it works. It will flash and beep a couple of times when you first start it up, but it won't beep any more after that.

I just got my topper for it the other day, and i have been happy with that. I think thurs or friday i might try and go somewhere fun and get it a little muddy.... way better than being at work!

Congrats! I also recently purchased an 09 Tacoma. I traded in my Saab 9-2x (rebadged WRX). What kind of topper did you get? I ordered one, but it hasn't come in yet. Here's a photo of mine in action on Twin Cone pass.

i got an ARE topper from suburban toppers down in denver.... its nice... sliding windows on the sides, and goes through on the back...

I live 2 blocks from Suburban Toppers; I was going to go with an ARE, but ended up getting a really good deal on a Leer.

I want to put on some sliders, and probably a light bar. I also need to pick up a hitch. Does anyone know if the 09's have anything I should look out for as far as looking for parts? It seems like they haven't changed the body style over the 08, but I want to make sure.
