The family recently moved to Nevada and we have four cars so our FJ60 had to tow our vw jetta. We drove straight down I-80 to I-15 and it did great. The cruiser would slow down on the great big hills but other then that it did 65 mph with out any problems. We have a stock 2f and it did great. I would not hesitate to tow with it again. I forgot to take more pics but here are some of us stopped at Salt Lake city for a bit. I think that people just assume they cant tow since they are slow but that is just not the case.

You're a brave man.

Looks like something I'd do, congrats on the smooth move...

Love how the useful beaters are hauling the pretty keepers....

Don't know why folks think they can't tow: I've done it a couple times a year over the past 10yrs. Just keep the tongue and tow weight appropriate, and take it easy on the heavy loads.

Honda Accord, on dolly, 70 miles
Mazda B2200, ditto, 25 miles
8x6x6 shed, on shed hauler, 25 miles
firewood in rounds fr 10k elevation, on trailer, 20 miles, multiple trips
backyard trash, in trailer, to the transfer station, 15 miles through Abq S Valley, multiple trips
dogshow equip for many, 500 miles at 75mph
washer/dryer n stuff, 500 mile return trip at 80mph (no dog in the rig)

I am doing the opposite. Running up 80 to Oregon from Tahoe. Towing a haulmark trailer, max load 3500 lbs. Should be interesting with the storm that is a coming. Will post up some pics with it hitched up to the rig and post details on the drive. I got two tougher passes to do. The one up 50 from Placerville to tahoe and around the lake to reno and the one from Onatrio, Id down into baker city, OR. Anyways those are the two that I will be moving at an ultra snails pace. Sweet to know that your move wasn't too bad gives me some much needed confidence.

Hey how much did your back end drop (I mean on the cruiser)? Hard to see in your pics. I have stock flatish springs in the back so wondering what this is gonna do to stance.

Been there, done that!

This is in Central America towing my '67 FJ45LV from Guatemala City, Guatemala to San Jose, Costa Rica. I'm not so sure I'd want to do that again!
