Good luck with this but I have to saw WOW, you forked over 18K sight unseen! I bought a 96 Camry from a dealer in NC for $2500.00 and still flew in before paying for it. I could never send funds for a vehicle like that unless I knew the person. I'm honestly surprised this is the first time in so many purchases you had a problem. There would seem to be more honest people than I thought out there.

I got a letter today from the seller's attorney. the seller has agreed to take back the car but he wants me to cover the cost of the master cylinder I had to replace since it had zero brakes when it arrived. He also wants me to ship it back to him at no cost and if he gets it inspected within 10 days and there are any problems, they will deduct it from the refund.

I've written a solid response and am meeting with a lawyer at noon on Monday. I have so many documents and statements from the seller on email and advertisements which state that there is nothing wrong with the car that I'm still 100% calm and relaxed. Things will work out.

Definitely cashing in on any good karma I've put out in the last few years.

I think you mean "barely escaping the bad karma you put out for painting that nice 40 orange and then flipping it."

:flipoff2:

Glad things are working out...

Good luck with the Rustang! I hate when people are f'in liars. Good karma? You sold my buddy a 40 with an SBC and the dist was 180 degrees off:rolleyes:. We both laughed when we were giving her a tune up. Godspeed.

He can thank Kabilian's in marshfield for that one! I always wondered why that 40 never ran right. We'll see what happens. I wasn't referring to selling cars as karma.

Things should be worked out by Tuesday. bummed out about the car...it's in the garage and I see it all the time. Really wish it wasn't such a huge piece of s***. It looks amazing from every angle except underneath

If I calculated the amount of cash I've sent to Australia over the last 4 years sight for sight unseen cruisers your head would explode.

If you'er looking for a Mustang I know where there is a 67/68 ragtop that needs minor cosmetic work and a good tune up. It's in Hebron,CT. PM if interested

Some fugers that screw people like that should get there balls cut off. I mean really bondo in the frame WTF!

Got a quote just make the car structurally stable which was $6750. Not for restoration quality but just making the underside roadworthy. This doesn't include any improvements or repairs that are needed to the mechanicals. Strictly metalwork.

includes replacement OEM frame filler with custom satin black finish

Lawyer is sending my response letter to their offer today. If they don't take it I'm ready to see this through. Half of me wants this guy to refuse my offer just so I can wipe him out financially for trying to F me, the other half wants to be done with it.

Looks like this gorgeous looking parts car is heading back to South Carolina next week. Definitely a relief.

The only lesson I've learned from all this is that you can only trust people from Australia. i repeat, the only lesson I've learned.....
