I did a drain and fill with M1 ATF. I drained 6.5 qts. I added 6 qt.
The shop that did the last fluid service add a little to much, I think.

Anyhow. I drove .5 mi to the gas station and filled the tank. 19 gal.
Checked the MPG and its 13 mpg WOW. I have been getting 11 mpg all winter and now, its UP :flipoff2:

My overall average is 13 mpg. I get 14 mpg range in summer and 11 mpg range in the winter.

Spring is the time of year to sell "Snake Oil".
You can claim that your MPG's will rise when using "this" (any) device.
Had I not known that I get better MPG's in warmer weather, I would of swore that the M1 did the job

right, and you were able to calculate the mpg with 0.5 miles or was that based on emptying the tank before the drain?

The 13 mpg was for the full tank.
Could it be that the M1 is SOOOO good that it increased the MPG SOOOO much that it made my average for that tank go up to 13 mpg???? NOT

I was showing that "Snake Oils" can work, at least they seam to. But most of the time there are other factors that made the MPG go up. ie. driving like a grandpa not a 17 yr old warmer weather, summer grade gas, etc.

If I was in charge of marketing some of this junk, I would have a promotion giving away the stuff with a tank of gas on the week when the ethanol is removed from the fuel. Everyone would have huge increases in power and fuel economy that I could capitalize on for the rest of the year.

Synthetic fluids will give small gains in MPG, not 2MPG but some in the trans, T-Case and diffs where is stays for long periods it can offset some of the cost of the fluid. Syn engine oil does not even come close because it is in there for a relatively short period.
