My friend brought a same 2014 model year LX570 but much less mileage than mine.
Unfortunately, when he brought the vehicle from a local Audi dealer recently, the power liftgate wouldn't close automatically.
The dealer agreed to fix other issues but not the liftgate (at least we knock off some $$ from the final #).
The liftgate opens automatically, however, it beeps and never close on its own when the button is pressed (from the gate or inside the driver seat).
Also, the upper rear door's alignment is off and it leaks when going through the auto car wash and rubs against the body (see circled pic).
We dropped off the truck to a small local Bodyshop hoping to fix the misaligned upper rear door.
The damn shop only inserted a washer between arrowed area of the picture and actually made the water leak worse.
We are hoping to diagnose the issue and fix it by ourself if possible.
Does anyone know how to realign the rear power lift gate properly?
Any idea how to diagnose the power open/close mechanism of rear liftgate?
