So after having the Sienna for about 4 years and now that my kids are out of the strollers and just about out of the bulky carseats, my wife is over the van. Seeing that the used LX570s (specifically 2013-2015) are selling a lower prices, it is a vehicle we are considering if we can get it for the right price.

We want the back interior. My concern is durability. Looked at a very nice 2015 with 63K in the low $40s. Felt like sitting in a brand new car. Given that they sticker in the $90s, I dont want to spend $40k and have the interior go to hell from normal abuse kids will put on it. The interior of the van has held up surprisingly well to all the carseats, climbing, food, etc. As nice as the LX interior is, is it as durable.

Kids break everything. Just assume they'll trash it, take a deep breath, and proceed.

Having owned many Lexi (sp?) over the decades, some well into higher mileage, the interior durability is one of the qualities of Lexus and Toyota's that keeps me coming back. Kids can beat up anything. I have more confidence in the Lexus to hold up better than just about any other brands interior.

I've had various carseats mounted in mine over the years. I use a basic seat protector underneath each. No sign or evidence of wear, and the divots and pressure points all disappeared.

Same. We tend to trash ours on a regular basis with dogs and kids and always seem to clean up well. Most visible wear in the truck is the driver seat and I can only blame myself for that one.

If in the off chance you do experience damage like cuts or tears, 3rd party upholsters can some real magic with this stuff.

I had a cut on my LX470s leather passenger seat previously. Completely my fault. Repaired and blended like magic. Even that repair was hard wearing 40k miles later when I sold it.

In addition to the endorsements above, you can always put in some seat covers to provide an added protection layer.

I have tan interior, we use it and abuse it. Kids walk from 3rd row to front, but it always cleans up. My only issue at this point is crack on cup holder cover on driver side. one of the kids stepped on it. No big deal, we bought it with purpose to have an adventure mobile.
So far kids love it.

Thank you for the info everyone. I appreciate it.

I have a gray interior, 2009 at 115k miles, and the interior has held up quite well. Slight wear on the driver's seat bolster near the door (which is normal). Some slight creases on the leather in the trunk area from hauling furniture. Wood trims have not warped or debonded. Overall the interior has been durable.
