Hey guys,

I'm in the middle of installing a 2" lift for my 570. I've got Bilstein 5160s in the rear but unfortunately they are interfering with my rear sway bar by contacting the remote resi on the shock. I am trying to find some rear sway bar drop brackets and the only ones I can seem to find are from Superior Engineering in Australia. They're $61 but I want to avoid paying for shipping across an ocean.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to who sells them state side? I've been looking but haven't had much luck.

Thanks!

Don't quote me on this, but I believe this might have been discussed and the shocks were mounted on the wrong sides causing contact. Do you have any pictures you could post?

Edit - that’s what I get for not reading since you found the ones I use - so instead I’ll let you know I searched everywhere and other than cutting and sleeving your end links I couldn’t find a solution that worked for the LX. Only issue will be finding a sleeve the right size

Ahh damn wish I saw this a few days ago. I just got rid of my cut/sleeved end links for this very same issue. They might still be in the bin. Not sure if it's been picked up yet lol. If I can find them when I get home you can have them for the cost of shipping. Disclaimer, I welded them myself and I am by no means a professional. They did hold up without issue for about 2 years though.

Ultimately though what I found is you have to extend them impractically long for them to not make any contact during the arc of travel. They become the lowest hanging fruit on the undercarriage and the swaybar's effect is pretty dramatically reduced. Enough that I've gotten rid of my 5160s in favor of a different shock so I can run normal length end links.

The superior engineering drop brackets are worth the shipping IMO
Yea I was recommended those. The shipping is $190 and they're 6 weeks out. I was thinking about getting white line extended sway bar end links but it looks like the guy above had to build his own to accommodate for the shock resi.

Damn I can see that. Whiteline has some extended sway bar end links but yours look longer by quite a bit. Any experience with those?

The whiteline aren't nearly long enough unfortunately. There was another gentleman on instagram who was going through this at the exact same time I was a couple years ago. He ordered the whiteline and I did DIY. He ended up just deleting the rear sway bar.

Thank you for offering. I'm just gonna end up ordering from superior and installing them once they arrive state side.

It's worthwhile to consider what drives the need for longer links.

Ride height changes may not be that driver. As the suspension still travels through the stock stroke. The factory sway bar has always worked fine across that stroke.

Long travel mods that expand the stroke is usually what drives the need for longer links. It's just as important that the longer link don't interfere on the compression side if full compression is still to the stock stops.

The issue in this case is clearing the bilstein piggy back reservoirs on his AHC deleted truck. The shocks are made for an LC which has sway bar coming from the other direction. Dropping the links even slightly will clear the resi’s at full droop.
