LX470 - What oil for TXFR case (4 Viewers)

My very rusty memory is telling me the Transfer Case behind the Auto box uses Auto fluid, not regular heavy gearbox oil.

I cannot find a reference anywhere for the correct oil.

Does anyone have a reference for the correct fluid type and fill volume?

I used synthetic gear oil. Search the forum. I know for sure it's listed somewhere on here...

Lexus' website has an online owners manual. I just changed mine. It is gear oil, but I don't recall the weight.

Redline Synthetic of an appropriate spec in mine and works great, much quieter than when I got it.

Pretty sure thats a manual gbox cruiser, not an Auto. He doesn't reference.

Nope not a manual, just used that exact write up to do mine about 6 months ago. I could be wrong but I dont think a maual gb 100 series exists in the U.S., unless maybe it was imported.
