Hey all,

I recently had an incident involving the side of my garage which ended with me needing a new mirror. Found one on Ebay, same color code, advertised as folding, heated, etc. No biggie right? Figured it would be an easy afternoon install. Well the mirror arrived today and I got to it. The housing itself is identical, same numbers (at least as far as I can tell) but the wiring is completely different.

TLDR does anyone have a wiring diagram for a late model LX470? I suspect that somewhere between 1998 and 2007 Lexus added a feature or two and connectors changed.

The two mirrors:

Matches R32 called out in the EWD I have for a 1998 LX470.

... and apparently I can only post 5 files at once so stand by for more pictures of the different connector.

There's an 18 pin, and what appears to be a coax connector? Unfortunately I don't know what year truck this came off.

Ideally I'd like to find a wiring diagram for this new mirror and just swap the connector over from the old one. I'd like to maintain the folding functionality, as it's become apparent that I need it to fit into my garage... I don't need any dimming feature though, as that'll probably require swapping ECUs and other things.

I cracked my '98 mirror housing (on a tree) and was able to source an '04 complete mirror on eBay (same color). I threw it on and only the horizontal adjustment worked, not vertical. So I swapped my old mirror plate that had both vertical and horizontal motors. Still no dice. I swapped in my old harness and everything worked fine!

I'll just say it is a significant amount of work to swap the mirror innards. You have to de-pin like a dozen pins on the connector. '04 doesn't have that additional coax connector. The 3 mounting screws are difficult to remove even with heat. Permanent loctite. I had to drill a couple of them out. I did not compare wiring from the two years. There is also circuitry within the mirror unit.
