Lx470 master key

Gents, excited to be picking up a 2000 LX 470 today (even more excited to be getting rid of my wife's X5!!). Will post pictures and give you cats the run down on her when I get back. (the LX not my wife )

My question is about the "master key". I'm getting it from a dealership and it comes with 3 keys, 2 have the keyless entry function on them and one valet key.

How do I know if I either are the master key or the "transponder" key? Read as much on the forum as possible but nowhere is the "master key" described.

The folks that traded it in are friends of the owner of the dealership and had just about everything original to the vehicle except the lug lock so I'm thinking if the master isn't there today maybe those folks have it at home still and could look for it. Thanks for any and all help/descriptions!!

IIRC, the 2 with the keyless are the masters. All of the keys are transponder keys.

You can confirm by looking at the security light on the dash. It will blink (mine is red) when you open a door. If you insert a master key in the ignition, the security light will turn off instantly. If you enter a valet key, it will continue to blink for a couple extra seconds, before turning off.
